JAYNE MANSFIELD
- Born Vera Jayne Palmer on October 19, 1933 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the girl with in the incredible "40-22-34" measurements wanted Hollywood stardom since childhood, and stopped at nothing to get it. Relegated to a world of cheesecake photos, second rate beauty contests and minor film roles, she finally found her fame via the role of the bombshell-to-end-all bombshells in the theatrical play "WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER". A series of nude layouts in PLAYBOY MAGAZINE, USO tours with Bob Hope, and films such as "THE GIRL CAN'T HELP IT" fueled the fires of publicity for the bosomy blonde in the 1950s, but her star had waned in the swinging sixties, and tragedy ended her career in a fatal auto accident in New Orleans on June 29, 1967.
